I just received a pair of these and they are perfect! my first time having lights that are really worth buying. I highly recommend the Chauvet Gigbar irc they have amazing coverage and the lights / patterns are phenomenal. Excellent customer service and follow up! Definitely my number 1 source !!! Thanks KPODJ!!!!!!
Great product! I've had it for several years now and it's still going strong.
If you do not have this gig bar, you are missing out big time. it definitely bring the life to all events big or small. It is very easy to setup as well as to set the function that you desire.
Great set of lights!!! No complaints from this guy. Best price I found anywhere. Shipping was fast. I will definitely do business here again.
KPODJ rocks! I really love this thing and this is the set I carry out for most of my weddings, usually I don't take my moving heads, for small wedding this is more than adequate!
Update to my previous review:
I still give the Gigbar 5 stars!

It has now been used in 3 events-2 indoor 200+ people Halls and 1 outdoor house party, and I can truly say that people love this thing!

After really inspecting the unit, it's really not made of alot of plastic like I originally though, its like 90% metal except for the rear casing on the Derby lights.

I will definitely buy another if I need a bigger light display!
I was very pleased with the quality of this "open box" unit. All equipment and accessories were included and in like new condition!

I will be using the Gigbar in it's first gig this weekend (6/11) but I have had it operating in my basement for 3 days.

The unit is sturdy, bright, and professional looking! I bought a stand scrim and uplight par to create a finished look.

The quallity of the unit is good, although I did not think it would have so much plastic-it's good quality plastic, and I'm sure it will hold up for mobile DJ use.

My wife (who attends alot of my events) was impressed with the Gibar in the basement-my teenage daughter thought it was cooler than the lights at one of her school dances.

The event i'm doing this weekend is in a banquet hall that holds 200 in and the main dancefloor area is about 30ft x 30ft.

I have no doubt the gigbar will perform well.
It would probably be good in most situations about the size on half a basketball court.

I am pleased with this ourchase and reccomend it for mobile events.

What an amazing and easy-to-use addition to my mobile DJ setup! I just bought and used one of the GigBars at a recent wedding and set it up behind my DJ table and it provided a great light show for the crowd on the dance floor.

As noted in some previous reviews, you'd probably need a couple of these to light up larger venues, but for most of the weddings I do, it's the perfect effect! The lights are bright and responsive, but the real selling point for me is the easy setup (complete with a nice protective case/bag) and the fact that the lights can be adjusted/aimed so you're not blinding the wedding guests who prefer to sit at their tables and chat.

I also love the wireless/IRC footswitch, which allows you to change up the colors/effects and even do a complete blackout for the slow songs just at the tap of your foot! Also comes with the standard Chauvet remote, but I'm already juggling too many of those for my uplights.

Chauvet has done it again and they remain my go-to company for all lighting fixtures and effects!
I purchased this lighting solution for my mobile DJ business. I wanted an all in one solution that would be easy to setup and operate. The Gig Bar comes in its own case that is padded very well for transporting to different gig. The lights are bright and I've gotten several compliments from my customers.

The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is the manual is not written well. I had to play with the device for a couple of hours to get use to it and figure out what the manual was trying to articulate.

I will purchase another one later this year from KPODJ.
Excellent service, excellent product, excellent shipping, AAA+
Great VIP pricing and fast trackable shipping from KPODJ. There's not much more to add beyond my agreement with and "WOW, what a lighting setup time saver" to the reviews you've already read. I run two Gig Bars as Master/Slave with Master in Sound Mode SM01. Response to all types of music is great. If there's a SOUND Mixed Effect Speed Program Level F from 01 to 99 available (as indicated in the user manual) I was not able to access it from my systems' menu selections. Possibly I do not fully understand the Config Menu Selections but I don't think that's the reason and feel a more likely explanation is the Sound Mode Speed option is a typo. Both my Gig Bars included an IRC-6 handheld remote control in the box with the foot controller. During shipping the plastic membrane cover for the on/off switch on one of the foot controllers popped off and was easily snapped back into place. Both units also had a spare 1.6 amp fuse in the plug safety cap though the user manual indicated otherwise. All component quality aspects of the entire package was impressive though I don't expect the tripod carry bags to hold up as well as an Arriba or Gator Bag.
I just had the chance to use this set up for a wedding that I DJed. It was incredibly easy to set up and is very lightweight. The automated/sound sensitive settings are great for the dance floor. I am looking forward to getting into the programming abilities.

I cannot comment much for live band performances, but would definitely recommend it for a DJ looking for a basic lighting rig. This has it all.
This thing is fantastic if you need an all-in-one lighting solution for a relatively small venue. It comes with its own case and takes about five minutes to set up.
Just got my Gig Bar and right out of the box was impressed. Easy set up and perfect for small venues. Took less than 2 min to set up. Have not used the foot switch yet but you get a lot of bang for your buck. Worth it if your mobile or doing small venues. Beats hauling a truss around for small jobs.
I just received my light setup. First off it took less than 3 days from ordering to get my product. Also this company is amazing and I'm super thankful for them for helping me save a little money. I'm pretty sure I got my product before I was even billed. I was amazed.
Now on the product, I DJ mostly bars and sweet 16s etc. This thing is amazing and does what I need and then some. The PARs are a little too bright and I haven't figured out how to dim them just yet. But I usually turn them around and face them out the window so cars driving by see the lights and stop in for a drink and some dancing.
The laser is awesome and the strobe, although low in watts, puts out plenty for what I use it for which is a medium size bar. The derbys are great and move great with the beat.. I'd recommend these lights any day. Great setup.
Also the box says it doesn't come with a controller besides the foot pedals, mine came with both. A hand held remit control and foot pedals. Can't complain!
This is a great product if you want that all in one type of light system. With the Derby, Pars, Strobes and Laser you do have it all. Control just one item or control them all. Fast or slow, color, sound active or with the hand held remote, There is even a foot switch which will do the same. Along with the case for the lights and a bag for the stand. This this is awesome. And KPODJ has the best prices around, i recommend this to anyone interested!
Been a DJ for about a year now and I had been looking for a good light setup without the cost and the amount of equipment to setup. I had planned on buying something used on Craigslist figuring I could get what I needed fairly cheap. Wrong... Even 10yr old incandescent lights were outrageously priced and I knew LED was the way to go. After searching and found the Gigbar, I knew this was the one to get. I figured I would wait and get it after the NAAM expo since something new would come out and the price would drop. Finding it here on KPODJ for much less than the competition made me get it now and all I can say is WOW. This thing lights up the room nicely and with so many modes it will definitely satisfy my audience... Thanks again KPODJ... I will buy from you again!!
I have been out of the mobile DJ business for about 10 years until recently and I purchased one of these bars for an event. I could not have been more impressed with the ease of use, performance, features, quick setup, packaging and amazingly inexpensive price. This comes with a nice case and is ready to deploy literally in less than 2 minutes. Wireless foot control is an unexpected bonus at this price as well and is icing on the cake. This throws plenty of light for most moblie DJ events, and at this price and ease of use buy 2 or 3 if you want overkill. I would save the money and just buy a hazer and you will not be disappointed. My old lighting truss took about 2 hours to get setup at a gig with all of the wiring, mounting fixtures, setting up the truss, running all the individual power cords. This Gigbar has one power cord and a wireless controller, essentially built in DMX programs. You cannot go wrong with this piece and I have not seen anything anywhere that gives you this amount of performance for anywhere near this price. KPODJ also has the best price anywhere, the fastest shipping and top notch, personalized customer service. Buy it now!!
We just purchased our second unit. This light is perfect for Mobile DJ's who want a great light show that is easy to set up and easy to control. We have used our Gig Bar for everything from Dance Clubs, to School Dances, to Weddings. Setting up is simple, and takes about 2 minutes.

We have used our first one for about 6 months. The only complaint we had was the battery in the foot controller would go dead when in the bag if left in. We started removing the battery after each event and have not had any troubles.

The new unit was just delivered to us, and we found that Chauvet has addressed the issue with the foot controller by adding an on/off switch!
reduced my lighting step up time drastically. Does the job for a Moblie/Wedding DJ. For really large crowds you might need 2, but you can easily link 2 and re-arrange the light fixture positions
I have not used this lighting system for a gig yet, but right out of the box I was pleasantly surprised.

Let me start with the box. The Bar is housed (and was shipped) in a hard sided zippered case (box). The inside of the case is molded to hold the bar (light fixtures) securely in place providing much protection. The Wireless Foot switch with included battery and the power cord fit nicely in a large zippered pocket of the main case. The tripod stand (which is very sturdy) comes in a case of its own. I can now walk into a DJ Gig with two cases, and I am ready to go.

The lights are awesome. I plugged the system in and the lights started flashing, blinking swirling, etc. The lights were extremely bright. The system is easy to run.

I will be using this smaller system to replace an 8 foot truss and lights that I have to use a truck to haul around. Along with the truss, I used two tripod stands, a controller and eight extension cords. This system will do everything the other system would do, but in a more compact system with less to haul around and hook up. Who could ask for more.
I have used this light for 3 gigs as a Dj and my clients have loved it each time. In sound activated mode the lights move and shine to the beat of the music and light up the floor very well.

Easy to set up and very bright this light is a lightweight unit that can be used as a great selling tool or a nice extra touch for your special clients.

It is literally plug and play and in my opinion well worth the money.
I just got a pair of these lights. They definitely pack a lot of bang for the buck!

I do mostly live sound and occasionally DJ. I got these to use for my light shows for the bands I work with. The PARs are VERY bright, and the Laser is intense! The strobe and derbies are great, too!

As a stand alone unit, this is great for DJing, but not so much for a band. The built in programs lend themselves well for a club or house party, but do not synch well with the flow of a live show. That is why I gave it 4 stars. I have started getting into programming this unit, and in the 20 channel mode, you have complete control over ever aspect and parameter of the operation.

I've got 2, and would consider getting 2 more as my business expands.
