The Opera Digital 405 D 15" Active 2-Way Speaker from dB
Technologies provides excellent audio resolution and power in a compact and
versatile design. The durable polypropylene cabinet houses a 15" woofer and a 1"
compression tweeter that deliver clear, natural audio with a wide frequency
response. Low-noise bass-reflex ports help to extend bass response, while an
asymmetrical tweeter horn provides a wide dispersion pattern and exceptional
distance. The cabinet can be used in a standard vertical orientation, or
horizontally as a stage monitor, making it ideal for a variety of applications.
The speaker has a biamplified design that features a digipro Class-D digital
amplifier. The amplifier provides 300W of RMS power to the woofer and 100W of
RMS power to the tweeter for a strong, distortion-free performance. The
amplifier is incredibly lightweight and efficient, which increases portability.
The rear panel of the speaker has an XLR input and an XLR link/output connector.
There is also a 1/4" input/link connector with a mic/line input sensitivity
switch. These options provide wide compatibility with a variety of sound systems
and devices.
The speaker has a built-in 24-bit/48kHz DSP system that serves as an active
crossover and a controller. It offers flat and processed presets, plus a dual
active limiter that has analog and digital stages to prevent distortion and
ensure uniform response. It also aligns phases and delay times for optimal
performance. The speaker has handles integrated into the top and side panels for
convenient transportation. It also has a standard pole socket on the bottom for
mounting on a speaker stand or on top of a subwoofer.
