I just received the case a week ago. You can definitely tell it is new.....has the new smell odor. It appears to be solid in build. I thought I was getting the one that the tops slides back. But, I didn't. No problem this one has a flip style shelf. Can't wait to display it in a gig!
Great case with a solid build. I bought it for my VMS2 but I was surprise that there was not extra support foam so it would fit the VMS2. That is why I rated it a 4 star. You want it to fit than you have to make it fit. I think the manufacturer was sleeping on this one. This review should reflect on those who made it not on the ones that sold it. I would prefer no shelf as I have a laptop arm that I use to put my laptop on. Nothing wrong with the shelf, just makes my money spent on the holder a waste lol. The flip down front and rear is handy for connecting the cables. There is also enough room in the back I can leave the power and usb cable connected to the controller and just pull them out and it's ready to go.<br /> <br /> Build quality seems good. It is heavy and when controller is added into it you realize the weight. I am okay with it but my wife hates it lol. Overall it was a great buy and KPODJ was great. Fast shipping, well packaged. Will be my go to from now on!

Just received my VMS5 case and love the size of this case. I am not using this case for the VMS5 (do not own a controller) but purchased case for general storage of my Yamaha mixer. I had to do some modification of the case and has exceeded what I needed in a case. This is a great all around case to use for the VMS5 or to use as a utility case.
