This was my first purchase from KPODJ and I am a new fan. The ADJ Entour Ice gets my 5 star review. After owning the Chauvet Nimbus, Chauvet Cumulus, Blizzrard Big Bad LoFo and Antari Ice 101 the Entour Ice beats them all. Nothing beats dry ice for the effect you REALLY want. But the Nimbus (dry ice) did not cut it because it was a one shot machine (10 lbs dry ice max), had no dmx, was hard to drain, could not have variable output, required manual control and had no case. The Entour Ice corrected all that and more. It holds 26 lbs dry ice, has road case, variable output, 6 channel dmx control, digital readout, convenient drain, removable ice basket, 5 inch output hose with low lying fan nozzle and puts out 2 1/2 times more low lying fog than the Nimbus per load. The Entour Ice has been designed and constructed very well.
This machine has worked twice for me and also failed me twice. There are issues with other DJ's I've talked to online having the same issues with it not firing off at all. It seems to be something with the heater or the pump. Also the red ball that shows you where the water level is at is a pain to get working properly. You have to shake the machine multiple times over and over for it to recognize water is in the tank. I am thinking about returning mine as this has been a horrible experience not to mention very bad for business when this does not fire at a wedding.
If it doesn't fire it is because of two reasons. You have overfilled the tank or the heater is not above 40C. Both issues are operator error.
