After going thru multiple Chauvet Hurricane Haze 2D hazers over the past 3 years. I had to step it up to a professional hazer. I have used this thing a few times now and all I can say is WOW! Fantastic unit. It is quiet, low fluid consumption, love the wireless remote that is comes with for free. I highly recommend getting the water based haze fluid HZL-5W not the 5 which is oil based. No residue, nice output, not cloudy, just a fine steady mist that looks great with the lights. Easy to operate. Get it at KPODJ. They have the best prices!!!! You can't go wrong with this unit. So spend the extra 300 from the beginner into hazers and get a good quality unit.
John Bunger: David. I still use it today and it works incredibly well as new. Has the right amount of haze output for a club, or festival 24x20 stage. I did verify with Antari on using Water based haze fluid prior to my purchase. I only use the HZL-5W fluid. Again works great for 3 years not one issue. There are 2 other bands in the area and they use this same model or the 400 and use the same fluid and no issues.

Fantastic Hazer, always works......
My first oil-based hazer. LOVE it after 1 gig. Produces a nice even haze when used with the antari oil fluid! Not really too loud. The wireless remote is really handy. Just an FYI, the DMX built in is 5pin, not 3 pin. Not too big of a problem if you really need it 3 pin, you can just get converters. It does not need to be connected to DMX to be used. can be used with the timer function built in, or by the wireless remote that is included.
My band has been wanting a good quality hazer for many years now and we finally pulled the plug and purchased this Antari HZ-350. I was very hesitant at first because this model is already several years old, but I've not seen anything else on the market with this quality and in KPODJ's price range. I also wanted a hazer that worked by compression and not by heating element. Our first "gig" use was at one of our regular sports bar gigs. This bar is a medium size venue which can hold around 200 people and has high ceilings (12' to 14'). I barely turned the unit on and within under 10 minutes I noticed the bar getting pretty hazy, almost too much so! The HZ-350 defaults to a 10 seconds on - 10 seconds off cycle. It took a few tries, but I finally narrowed this down to a 7 sec on - 60 sec off cycle to keep the room hazed at just the right amount. I wanted the water-based Antari fluid but KPODJ was out at that time, so I went with the oil-based and was very impressed. The haze looked very smooth, hung in the air for quite a while, and did not look like a fog machine when being expelled into the room. Hardly even noticeable in fact. I still plan to try the water-based fluid later. The entire band was very impressed with the HZ-350 and feel confident it will be powerful enough for any of the gigs we play, from sports bars to hotel ballrooms.

David Condreay: the manufacturer states you should NOT use water based fluid in this machine. seeing this review is 2 1/2 years old, i would be shocked if your machine is still working. just saying.
