This Chauvet Bubble King B550 bubble machine, is a beast! Be sure to use it with the Chauvet bubble juice. This machine will put out a ton of bubbles. Kids and adults are amazed at the amount of bubbles that this unit produces.
These are great bubble machines but not without some downside. First, the output from these things is very impressive! I run tow for outdoor shows and easily can get tens of thousands of bubbles in the air at any time. They are very reasonably priced for such an impressive effect. HOWEVER: They offer no DMX control, which makes me sad. I run a relay pack to control them. The fluid reservoir containers are laughbaly flimsy. Why arent these aluminum? Mine both cracked after one show because they simply arent strong enough to be lifted with a single hand while there is fluid in them. This was easily fixed be reenforcing the corners of the containers with 15 minute epoxy but still... Lastly, these will rust! You must service these after each use! I have no idea why these arent made from aluminum but knew that going in. Take the time to rinse and clean these after each use and they will last for a long time. Great product overall! P.S. I do NOT recommend hanging these!!! You can but I wouldnt!
I am thrilled with these machines! The output is incredible - running two of them with pro-level fluids I have no problem getting tens of thousands of bubbles in the air in no time. They are always a big hit. The only reason they don't receive 5 stars is because the plastic fluid reservoirs are incredibly flimsy and prone to cracking, emptying and cleaning is a hassle (its best to have 2 people to empty these), and they WILL rust if you don't maintain them properly, and no DMX (easily avoided with a dimmer pack). If Chauvet made this same machine in aluminum with a built in reservoir and a drain spigot I would buy 4 in a heartbeat!
The Chauvet Bubble King B550 was awesome and made a lot of bubbles. It was fast and kept the bubbles coming! Great enchantment for my daughters birthday party! The kids loved it.
I'm still yet to find a really well designed bubble unit that is affordable and durable. This unit comes pretty close and will do the trick for most regular uses. Has a good throw with 3 spindles and an average power fan. The tray that holds the bubbles is super cheap and flimsy. You will basically have to keep the unit on a flat surface as there is no protection from tilt spills and that could potentially damage the unit. The market for these units probably isn't that large as they all have the same concepts and flaws.
