DAS Altea 718A Description
The
DAS Altea 718A is engineered for deep, clean, and consistent bass reproduction. Its 18FW4 transducer features a long-excursion 3” voice coil and vented pole piece for high-efficiency performance and reduced power compression over long periods. Capable of reaching 134dB SPL, this subwoofer delivers the low-end energy needed for live performances, DJ events, and mobile sound reinforcement.
Power comes from a Class D amplifier rated at 1200W peak (600W continuous), ensuring high output with low heat and minimal distortion. The rear-panel DSP, accessed via DAScontrol™, includes preset settings that make it easy to match the subwoofer with ALTEA top cabinets, creating a seamless full-range system.
With balanced XLR inputs and stereo loop-thru outputs, the Altea 718A offers simple connectivity for expanding setups. Its ISO-flex coated birch cabinet includes M10 rigging points and a pole mount for stacking mid/high speakers, making it a powerful and flexible tool for event professionals.
