Wash Lights
Wash Lights such as LED pars and wash bar lights are designed to add color to an area without hard edges. Unlike spots and beams, wash lights create a more subtle and even wash of light. They are often used to create a specific mood or atmosphere.
Battery Uplights are a wireless version of the LED par wash light, designed specifically for uplighting. Although they can be used as traditional wash lights for stages or dance floors, they are typically used for uplighting.
Followspots
Spotlights are high-intensity lighting fixtures that can be used to focus on individual performers or areas. These are focused beams of light that can highlight specific areas of the dance floor, such as the DJ booth, the stage, or individual dancers.
Moving Head Lights
Moving Head Spots are one of the most popular fixtures on the market for wedding performers, clubs, bars, nightclubs, and more. These fixtures create both aerial effects if any amount of fog or haze is in the room, as well as projection effects of gobos, spots or beams. Some of these lighting fixtures can be remotely controlled to move around and create different lighting effects. Others require a DMX controller for operation. They can be used to highlight specific areas and to create a dynamic and visually stunning lighting design.
The Moving Head Wash is another popular style lighting fixture which essentially combines wash lights and moving heads for improved stage effects. Some units come with zoom for complete control over the wash effects.
Gobo Projectors
Gobos are thin metal or glass plates that can be inserted into lighting fixtures to create a specific pattern or image. Gobo projectors are fixtures specifically designed for projecting a gobo in one area. They are often used to create a custom backdrop, to project a specific image on stage, or to put a custom image on a dancefloor or wall near a wedding sweet heart table.
For dual purpose lights, look for moving head spot lights that have interchangeable gobos. Those will be able to be used as traditional gobo projectors (with custom gobos) as well as dance lights.
Black Lights
UV Wash Lights or Black Lights produce ultraviolet lights that can create a fluorescent effect on certain materials, such as white clothing or paint. Regular wash lights that are HEX color have UV built in, but if you're looking to create a powerful blacklight effect, purchasing fixtures that are specifically designed for blacklight only, are most efficient.
Stobe Lights
Traditional Strobe Lights produces a rapid flashing or pulsing effect. They can also be used as blinders. The flashing can be adjusted to different speeds, creating a range of effects from a subtle to a rapid strobe. Strobe lights are stage effects that have been around since the beginning of light shows.
DJ Effect Lights
The most traditional and common "DJ" light are called Effect Lights. They typically project dots, shapes, or color around the room and cover a wide area. They will usually move in patterns and offer an inexpensive way to cover a full room with lighting.
Architectural Lighting
Outdoor and Architectural Lights are usually IP65 wash lights designed for the exterior of buildings and other outdoor projects. We do carry indoor architectural lights as well, but IP65 rated wash lights are most common in this category.
Professional Laser Projectors
Lasers projection lights produce laser beams in different patterns and colors, adding a futuristic and energetic element to the lighting design. They are known for aerial effects like liquid sky as they will look incredible in the air with just a small amount of fog or haze.
Also, many of the higher end lasers will give you the ability to do custom projections. Monograms, logos, custom text and animations are all popular with some of the projection lasers from X-Laser and Pangolin.
Stage Lighting
Stage lighting typically includes a combination of gear, such as lighting fixtures, control systems, and various accessories. These lighting fixtures may include follow spots, moving heads, wash bars, strobe lights and much more. There are many different types of stage lighting options available and each has its own unique capabilities and stage effects.
Up Lighting
Up lighting is often considered a must-have in event decor and lighting design because it can completely transform a space and create a beautiful and dramatic effect. Uplighting can create a subtle and ambient glow, adding depth and dimension to the environment. Commonly used at weddings, nightclubs, bars, lounges, corporate events and much more.
Dance floor Lighting
The lighting is designed to enhance the energy and excitement of the dancing experience and create a fun and memorable environment for guests. Dancefloor lighting typically includes a combination of different types of lighting equipment. It is an essential element of any event or party where dancing is a key component.
Fog and Haze Machines
If you're allowed to use them in the venue, fog or haze machines will make any light show look better. Typically, the best use of fog or haze is to keep the setting so low that it isn't even noticeable until the lights are turned on. Then the light show will gain aerial effects with beams of light going across the room.
