The Chauvet DJ Wash FX 2 is a versatile lighting fixture that serves as both a wash light and an eye-catching effect light. Featuring 18 quad-color (RGB+UV) LEDs, it provides brilliant color mixing and powerful UV effects.
The Chauvet DJ Wash FX 2 is designed for mobile entertainers looking to enhance their lighting setup with versatile and dynamic effects. Its 18 quad-color LEDs deliver vibrant colors, while the powerful UV LEDs create stunning blacklight effects. The six chase zones allow for intricate light shows, and the fixture can be controlled via stand-alone, DMX, IR, or master/slave modes. Compatible with the IRC-6 wireless remote, the Wash FX 2 offers flexible control options and power linking capabilities to save time during setup.
Super bright! These babies will light up a larger space (and I have) easily. I should point out that I had the previous generation Wash FX and I feel these are slightly brighter, have better sound programs , and now have UV as an additional color. These can easily perform the function of blinders as well. Wide open they are hard to look anywhere near them. I have them paired up with a DMX controller and create some pretty neat effects because you can control any of the 6 zones per light independently. I run 4 and have a total of 24 zones of light to play with. I will suggest that you either put them on a controller to dim their output slightly, or position them so they are not close and pointing straight at the audience. You will see a lot of squinting eyes if you just throw them on auto and point them right at a nearby dance floor. For this price range, you are getting into a pro level of light output. The light output of those all-in-one light bars such as the gig bars don't have half the output that these do. Overall a very versatile light for the money.
So far so good. It is definitely bright. I really haven't had time to sit down and work the full effect through DMX, but the simple things I'm doing with it work pretty good. I would have given it a 4 star but I am a little disappointed with the brightness of the UV (that was the main reason I bought it). I am doing a UV party this weekend. Well see how it does with that effect at a party where you need it. But if you need a bright wash, for the price it's a good choice.
Great lights! Very bright and the stand alone modes are great! Perfect when mounted on the poles of a RCF J8!
Super bright! Worth every penny. Tons of capability once you get into the 8 and 28 channel programs.
Charles Veale: Tim B, keep in mind that UV is substantially less bright than the other colors on ANY light (this might already be obvious to you). I compared these to my dedicated UV bars (ADJ Eco UV Bar)and these were comparable for UV and took up less space than the bar. I think you will be pleased using them for your UV party. Unless you are using a couple of the UV cannons, you will need a few UV fixtures to get a really good "glow" effect. I use 3 UV bars and 4 of these lights to really light a decent size space.
