I am a 63 year old mobile DJ and cannot seem to stop my music love affair. However, nature has a way of taken its course. I own the full QSC K2 line of speakers including the KS212 Subs, but as many of you can guess those things can get heavy. So I ventured out to find mobile pro audio sub to use with my QSC K2.8s and along comes the Yorkville YXL10SP. It was only available from one Dealer at the time. I had no clue the sub had just been released. I did a small gig with the Yorkie connected and this thing rocked the house. Great clarity and the three-function sound setting for bass depth is a plus. The SPL is 3 decibels lower than the QSC K2.8, but trust me your audience will never know. I was disappointed to discover the pole mount socket was not M20 threaded. I got creative and found a M20 plate and attached it with JB Weld, because it is almost impossible to find a mount plate with the exact dimensions for the plate and screw widths. I just ordered another Yorkie to complete my setup. You can easily rock a party with up to 150 people and not miss a beat, and these things weigh in at just under 35 pounds each. Great job Yorkville!
I was looking for a small footprint, lightweight sub to help put some bottom definition in our small p.a. I've always been a fan of Yorkville and this guy delivers! As soon as I am able, there will be another one in the van.
