The PR 12 is a two-way sound reinforcement system consisting of a heavy duty 12" woofer and a RX14 titanium diaphragm, dynamic compression driver mounted on a 90° x 40° coverage constantdirectivity horn. The lightweight-yet-rugged injection-molded plastic enclosure with molded-in stand-mount cup facilitates portable use for live music or speech sound. A black powder-coated steel grille provides driver protection and a professional appearance. The PR 12 speaker system is rated at 400 watts program power handling, and the full crossover network includes high voltage film capacitors and high frequency driver protection for clear, punchy sound and excellent long-term reliability. Two 1/4" phone jack input connectors make daisy-chaining to other speakers simple.

The Peavey PR 12 is an enclosure rated at 400W program (800W peak). The 14XT compression driver is coupled with a 90° Horizontal and 40° Vertical constant directivity horn. Together they distribute the high frequencies only where you need them with minimal distortion. The 12” woofer with a 2 3/8th inch voice coil is perfectly paired with front ported cabinet. This enclosure weighs less than 30lbs and can really fill a room with the type of quality sound that Peavey is renowned for. Don’t be confused by the no name brand enclosures you find out there Peavey has been producing high quality sound reinforcement product for more than 40 years. This enclosure also has built in hardware for flying (optional fly-ware available) and is covered by Peaveys 5 year warrantee.
his cab is incredibly light, and very convenient to handle. It is simple but very attractive, well constructed, and well thought out. I like the fact that it has a classic look, and does not resemble some form of spacecraft, or perhaps some kind of alien artifact. I have been a musician and sound tech for almost 40 years now, and I use this cab (with a capable subwoofer), in a loud rock band, with five vocalists, guitars, heavy bass and drums, saxophone, and keys.
