I bought this to replace some weaker speakers I recently broke. I wasn't sure what to expect, but when the package came WOW was the first word that came to mind. This thing is a monster!! Really the pictures don't do it much justice. <br /> Visual effects aside I had to know what this thing can do. So I first loaded into a sealed enclosure. Not as my intentions of using it this way, but more so that it's a box I'm familiar with. The results were not as great as I expected, it seemed to struggle with the low end bass. The enclosure was too small (which was never a problem before). So I loaded it into my vented 3 way cabinets and this really brought out the sound! I guess these need more air to breathe. <br /> As far as sound quality they do what they are supposed to. Although I haven't had it for very long, I feel like this was a good buy, even though there are a lot more brands with higher price tags. <br /> Bottom line this speaker rocks. I'm actually online now to buy another one.

I've had enough time to try these speakers by now and they are nothing less than impressive. The extended low end bass is hard hitting and clean. I would recommend using them along with some high power mid bass or full range speakers. They seem to taper off right around the vocal range. <br /> I loaded them into my 3 way dual 15" cabinets, using one of these T-PROs in the bottom space and an Eminence Impero in the other. The Imperos are more vocal so the combination is perfect! See my review on the Imperos too.
Both of the woofers I purchased were used in an old pair of Sonic kick bins. Both had problems with the dustcap coming unglued during play. On one of them the paper layers of the cone separated and ended up failing. Thhe other one is still running after getting some glue to hold the dustcap down.
