The Allen & Heath AH-SQ-RACK brings the power of SQ digital mixing into a compact rackmount format for users who need professional mixing in a space-saving enclosure. Its 48-channel, 36-bus architecture is well suited for live sound reinforcement, installed audio, corporate events, houses of worship, studio workflows, touring bands, and IEM monitor racks.
At the center of the mixer is Allen & Heath’s 96kHz XCVI FPGA engine, designed for high-resolution audio, ultra-low latency, sample-accurate mix coherency, and the processing power needed for high channel counts and multiple mix buses. Each input includes essential processing such as high-pass filter, gate, 4-band parametric EQ with RTA, and compressor, while mixes include parametric EQ, 28-band graphic EQ, and compression.
Even without physical faders, the SQ-Rack provides hands-on control through its 7-inch capacitive touchscreen, faders screen, 8 assignable SoftKeys, and 4 assignable soft rotaries with LCD displays. SQ-MixPad, SQ-Control, and SQ4You apps extend control for engineers, installers, musicians, and less technical users who need simplified access to specific functions.
The Allen & Heath AH-SQ-RACK is also built for recording and system integration. SQ-Drive allows direct recording to USB storage, while the 32 x 32 96kHz USB audio interface supports DAW recording, playback, and virtual soundcheck. With SLink remote audio, a 64 x 64 I/O card slot for optional audio networking cards, AES output, and flexible analog I/O, it can operate as a standalone mixer or integrate into larger professional systems.
