I just received the mister kool 2 low-lying fog unit today and it's pretty nice. So why only three stars? It does have it's draw backs. First let me say it does produce a ton of low fog. Only problem is it doesn't stay low for very long. Now it does very depending on the fog juice you use. I recommend quick dissipating fluid or low lying fog fluid. If you use normal fog fluid with this unit you will set off fire alarms. I used it at home and my fire alarm which is way in the back of my home eventually went off. Because the low lying effect doesn't last. Once it hits room temp. The fog starts to rise. I still want to test this unit with dry ice and low lying fog juice. I think I'll get much better results and peace of mind that I'm not going to set off any fire alarms. It's range also varies depending on wind current. I found placing a small fan just underneath the unit blowing out help to push the fog a bit further to where I would like it to be. It can easily cover a 20x20 dance floor. It also heats up very quickly. So I hope this helped someone. Remember for the price this is a great unit. The next unit up from this will run you about six hundred bucks. So I have to give ADJ credit for this unit. Just a little experimenting with different fog juice and ice is all you need to do to find what will give you the best results.
We just received our ADJ Mister Kool II. We tried it out this past weekend with the recommended "Kool Fog(dense fog juice)" and it worked extremely well. This system is so much easier than operating an old-school dry ice machine. Living in a rural area, dry ice is hard to attain. I will say, I wish the system used water based haze instead of oil based, but still works extremely well.
