I got this thing because I wanted a good gobo projector for custom wedding gobos. It's super heavy so forget hanging this thing, it's going to have to sit on the floor or table. Looks like wall projections is all I'll get. The tension rings to do not come off. Repeat, they are in there for good. Yes, they move but forget actually trying to remove one. I tried everything, I even bought a steel pick from an auto shop to try and pry these things out. Nope. The best I could do is set it in there and tape it. Also, there is nothing you can do to program this thing without a DMX controller, so I had to buy the Obey40. That worked well but the night before the wedding while testing this unit for some reason it just stopped receiving data on one of the channels.
These are great to put in sound active mode and run as effect moving heads. They maser/slave and lookg great together. These are not powerful enough to use advanced movers for a main show, though. Not great for spot lighting across the room.
