Blizzard Lighting's wiCICLE wireless DMX system is a powerhouse in a tiny package! Not much bigger than a standard XLR connector, the wiCICLEâ„¢ releases you from the crushing chains of cable-fed DMX lighting. (Maybe we're being a bit over dramatic, but it is liberating!)
The wiCICLEâ„¢ system features 512 auto-assigning frequencies in 7 groups allowing up to 7 systems to run simultaneously in the same space, completely free of interference! (multiple systems required)
Despite their small size, the wiCICLEâ„¢ Skywire and wiCICLE transmitter make one powerful system, capable of reliable wireless communication for over 1000 feet, line-of-sight. amazing product, its so nice to not have to run wires to your first light, this a easy product to use, it will save u time in setup and take down, all in all a great product from blizzard
The wiCICLE System is the best solution out there to get rid of some long cables and definitely makes a quicker and cleaner set up. This is a big time saver also. The only thing that I would recommend to play around with this setup before you go out to a gig. Its not one of those things where you just plug it in and youre good. You might actually need to spend time to figure out how they work and how many you might need. For big lighting gigs you might want to pick up a few packs
The wiCICLE receiver and transmitter combo purchase saves you money and provides a great package. Sure beats hooking up all those cables. Saves time setting up and breaking down. They work best with the Blizzard lighting products designed to support the wiCYCLE's power thus eliminating connecting the unit to an external supply. Use them with the Blizzard Unplugged items and have a completely controllable package. Practice with the product and learn its limitations before going to an event. I would recommend purchasing two of the wiPAKs and expand with more receivers if needed.
was kinda skeptical at first,but when i first tried this product it worked flawlessly, so i recently ordered more transmitters, easy and fast teardown's now.... deff recommend
I love these things! I'm a theatre lighting designer and have begun building an inventory of Blizzard LED color mixing lights to give me more artistic flexibility than I would have with standard one channel theatre lights.<br /> <br /> I picked up an extra receiver, which let's me transmit from the last dimmer pack to two different runs of LED lights. That way if some of I lights are on the floor, or over the seats, I don't need to make a long DMX cable run to connect them. <br /> <br /> I have experienced no interference, and they have good range. And not having to connect the wall wart on lights that are wiCICLE enabled is fantastic!<br /> <br /> And typically, you will only need one transmitter. the receivers can all be reached individually, so you don't have to do a receiver and transmitter in each light. And you can daisy chain with DMX cable from a light with a wiCICLE receiver.<br /> <br /> I would have rated these five stars, but the receiver is just a little to long for the yoke on small lights, like the Hotboxes, to fit over them. It's normally not an issue, but there are times you have to remove the wiCICLE when focusing the light. But that one issue is nothing when compared to all the benefits.
Best bet for not having to run your main wires from your controller, especially when your lights are placed across the room!
