The BoxCast Spark SDI is a compact HEVC (H.265) live streaming encoder designed for professional video environments that require SDI connectivity. Built for houses of worship, schools, broadcast teams, and production professionals, it delivers high-quality 1080p60 streaming while optimizing bandwidth efficiency.
The BoxCast Spark SDI utilizes advanced H.265 (HEVC) Main Profile encoding to reduce bandwidth requirements while maintaining sharp image quality up to 1080p60. It also supports H.264 (AVC) High Profile Level 4.2 for broad compatibility with streaming platforms and workflows.
Designed with production environments in mind, Spark SDI features SD/HD/3G/6G/12G-SDI video input, making it ideal for professional cameras, switchers, and broadcast systems. Analog audio can be connected via two 1/4" stereo inputs or a 3.5mm input, and embedded SDI audio is also supported. A 3.5mm headphone output allows real-time monitoring of your live mix.
The built-in 4.3” capacitive touchscreen provides live video preview, audio metering, stream status, and network diagnostics. A customizable LED light ring gives clear visual confirmation of streaming status at a glance. Integrated network speed testing helps ensure optimal stream stability before going live.
For added reliability, Spark SDI includes automated scheduling and multistreaming capabilities along with BoxCast Flow streaming technology. A microSD card slot supports local backup recording (minimum 16GB, Class I, ext4 or EXFAT), ensuring your broadcast is preserved even if network interruptions occur.
