This unit is amazing value for money. I own 3 Sennheiser EW300 systems and needed an extra one. Didn't want to spend over $1000 this time so after reading the reviews, I figured I'd take a chance on this one.
The receiver pack is plastic and neither the pack or transmitter are as sophisticated as the EW300. There is no limiter built into the pack, no lock, no dual mono, no EQ, no squelch, no sync, no engineer mode - I could go on..... this is more 'plug and play'.
There are sensitivity knobs for L and R on the transmitter along with a mono/stereo switch and volume control on the pack. There is also a headphone output in the transmitter and volume. Other than that, there are channel selection buttons on both transmitter and pack - very simple.
Comes with rack mounts and antenna extension to front of rack.
BUT.....Bear in mind that this system is less than a third of the price of a EW300 system and in terms of functionality, in direct comparison, it does very well. The sound is a little thin / less low end but very acceptable.
Signal is very hot - make sure to set sensitivity levels on transmitter accordingly.
Reception seems good so far - no drop outs or interference yet.
For anyone on a budget who wants to get into the wireless iem arena, this is a no brainer for the money.
Great system and awesome service from Kpodj. I don't need a super fancy in ear system...I need one that works well and sounds good. This does that with little to no noise and provides the flexibility of multiple channels. The included ear buds are surprisingly good but I prefer my Shures...but not by much. For the price you can't beat it.
