It removes demo restrictions—previously only unlocked by using a MagicQ Wing or Dual DMX Interface—allowing access to advanced features like MIDI input, scheduled events, web server editing, and playback triggering.
This dongle is also required to unlock the full 8-layer mode in MagicHD when used as a standalone media server, rather than being triggered by a ChamSys console. Its compact size makes it easy to integrate into rack-mounted computers or control systems where space and simplicity are key.
