Low-Lying Dry Ice Fog Machine

The Chauvet DJ Nimbus is a powerful, event-ready dry ice machine designed to create dramatic low-lying fog effects that stay close to the floor and vanish without rising. Ideal for first dances, stage performances, or theatrical moments, it delivers thick white fog without the lingering haze or smell of traditional fog machines.

Chauvet DJ Nimbus Competitive Differences

Dual heating elements for faster warm-up and shorter recovery times
Adjustable multi-level control arm for precise fog output

Chauvet DJ Nimbus Description

The Nimbus is engineered for live event professionals who demand reliability and impact. Using only water and dry ice, it produces dense, low-lying fog that covers dance floors or stages without rising into the air. The machine holds up to 4.5 gallons of water and accommodates 10 lb of dry ice per cycle, generating up to 6 minutes of floor-hugging fog. Its plug-and-play design makes operation simple: just add water and dry ice, and power it on. Dual heaters speed up the heating process, cutting down on prep time between uses. The adjustable control handle lets users regulate fog output to match the pace and intensity of the event. Safety is built in with low-water and over-temperature sensors that automatically shut off the heaters to prevent damage or hazards. The durable housing and compact footprint make it easy to transport and set up. Pair it with the optional Nimbus Cart (sold separately) for added mobility at venues.

Great piece of equipment. very reliable and easy to use. I would recommend getting the wheeled bottom enclosure sold by Chauvet as well to be able to move it around easily.

Another WOW factor to provide for your wedding clients! EYE CANDY for sure! Machine does as advertised. Expensive, but it'll eventually pay for itself. I just wished it last a little longer but overall great tool to have!

Highly suggest using dry ice pellets, they work some much better in this machine than the blocked dry ice that has to be broken up!

Definitely brings in a new element to weddings and visual effects that most newly weds just can't pass up. It may seem a bit tedious but worth every penny. PLUS the dual heating feature helps to have this machine ready quickly, perfect for weddings and event shows.

its a really cool effect but i feel its a little much for what it is and i always have to bring dry ice to gigs, but for the "dance on a cloud" effects for the bride and groom it works great
