I really like the Electro-Voice EVERSE 8, especially for fully wireless setups. My favorite feature is the battery share function. Being able to power a wireless microphone receiver directly from the speaker makes the whole system cleaner, faster to set up, and much easier to use in places where AC power is limited or inconvenient. Sound quality is very good for a compact battery-powered speaker. The EVERSE 8 has a clear, polished sound that works well for speech, small performances, ceremonies, cocktail hours, fitness instruction, and portable DJ use. For its size, the output is also one of the stronger options I’ve heard in the battery speaker category. It does not feel underpowered the way some smaller rechargeable speakers can. The app is useful, especially for Bluetooth connection and basic volume control. Personally, I would not rely on the app for every adjustment during an event, but it is nice to have quick wireless access when needed. For anyone needing a compact portable PA speaker with strong battery performance, good sound, and a very practical wireless mic setup, the Electro-Voice EVERSE 8 is an easy recommendation.
Great speaker. Use it for cocktail hours and ceremonies. With the Shure SLXD-5 wireless system you don't need any electricity. Well worth the money.
