FBT VHA 118 SND is a processed bass-reflex active subwoofer engineered to deliver deep, controlled low-frequency performance for professional live sound systems. Built around a high-excursion 18-inch woofer and a powerful 2500W RMS Class-D amplifier, it provides impactful bass response down to 30Hz and integrates seamlessly with Horizon VHA systems.
The FBT VHA 118 SND is designed to deliver extended and powerful low-frequency reinforcement for professional sound reinforcement systems. At its core is a high-excursion 18-inch woofer with a 4-inch voice coil, engineered to produce deep bass response reaching down to 30Hz while maintaining clarity and accuracy at high output levels.
A built-in 2500W RMS Class-D amplifier powers the system and works with integrated DSP processing to optimize performance in various configurations. Six selectable presets adjust EQ, filtering, and cardioid settings, allowing the subwoofer to be tuned for different system setups and acoustic environments.
For advanced system integration, the VHA 118 SND includes a TCP/IP network interface based on the AES70 standard and supports remote management through the INFINITO System Management Suite. It also features Dante digital audio networking, enabling 24-bit audio streaming at 48–96kHz from compatible Dante devices for efficient signal distribution across professional audio networks.
The cabinet is built from durable 18mm birch plywood and finished with a scratch-resistant black coating for long-term reliability in touring and installed environments. A powder-coated steel grille with internal acoustic fabric protects the transducer while maintaining acoustic transparency, and the system is equipped with intelligent forced ventilation to ensure consistent amplifier performance.
