I can't say enough great things about this box! I love it! It is small and relatively lightweight. It is built like a tank. I'm using it for uplighting; and I love being able to take the handles off and sitting the box on the floor; creating a minimal footprint. The light is great. Easily throws onto ceiling. My first use was for a champagne color. Adding Amber full (255) and a little white (about 25) resulted in a nice champagne! I loved the extra connector included with the light. Ostensibly to use to create an output cable; I have first created a short input cable (since the power output is a direct parallel connection to the input; this works); so I have the flexibility of having a short and long power cable for when I need them. I can buy another connector and make an output cable whenever. The onboard effects make this light even better. I do believe these lights will become my staple lights for uplighting!
I love these lights as well. I only own handful, but they are bright and have great color mixing and strobing! Did I mention that they are small and efficient as well? THEY ARE!!!
Great compact units with a small footprint. Bought a few cases of these to use in event tents to replace PAR lights. All arrived in great working order. Well built and good quality components including cabling. My only concern is these might be TOO bright. for the intended application. The beam angle however should give us the option to not only shine these a long distance but also color splash the canvas. I will have to be wary about throwing these short distances (even 20') towards viewing angles as they could be blinding. These are very similar in output to the Eternal Lighting MKIIs we own in a side by side comparison. The small size and light weight made it a good choice for our application. One should weigh the options of use in comparison to cost difference (whether or not you need battery power, size, weight)
