RCF P 4228 Description
The
RCF P 4228 is part of the P Series — a family of high-performance speakers built for long-term installations in environments where reliability and audio clarity are critical. It features a robust PE rotomolded cabinet with a weatherproof, UV-resistant finish and an aluminum grille with water-repellent backing. The enclosure meets IP55 standards, ensuring consistent performance even in challenging outdoor conditions.
The acoustic design includes two 8” neodymium woofers and a 2.5” voice coil compression driver mounted on a CMD (Coverage Matching Design) horn. This configuration offers a wide 110° x 60° coverage pattern with a max SPL of 129 dB, making it ideal for coverage of large audience areas with minimal speaker count.
Internally, the P 4228 incorporates a LICC crossover and Active Mosfet Compression Driver Protection (AMCDP) to maintain clean transitions between frequency bands and ensure longevity under stress. The speaker connects via a watertight Amphenol IP67-rated connector, adding to its installation durability.
