LD Systems MAILA COL is an active full-range column module designed for the modular MAILA system. Equipped with four 6.5” neodymium woofers and a 2.5 kW Class D DSP amplifier, it delivers extended low-mid performance from 105 – 500 Hz while providing the power and processing required to drive both the column itself and up to eight MAILA SAT satellites.

LD Systems MAILA COL Description

The LD Systems MAILA COL serves as a versatile core module within the MAILA line array ecosystem. Its four 6.5” woofers with neodymium magnets and 2” voice coils provide extended low-mid headroom and controlled projection, while the integrated 4-channel DSP amplifier delivers 2,500 watts RMS of clean, efficient Class D power.

With a peak SPL of up to 130 dB (pink noise, fullspace/1 m) and advanced 24-bit / 48 kHz signal processing, the MAILA COL ensures powerful and consistent output for live events, installations, and touring systems. The onboard DSP includes a 4-channel mixer, 3-band EQ (High, Mid, Low), delay line, dynamics, and reverb for precise system tuning.

Designed for flexibility, the module supports both ground stack and flown configurations. In flown arrays, it can be combined with up to eight MAILA SAT elements, making it ideal for festivals and fixed installations. In ground stack setups, the interconnected column design allows system heights of up to 3.4 meters, improving throw distance and ensuring even far-field coverage.

SmartLink+® enables cable-free connection between the column module and satellites, simplifying setup and reducing visible cabling. LogoLink® integrates Bluetooth® 4.2 antennas discreetly into the LD logo, allowing wireless control through the free MAILA app (iPadOS). The app automatically detects connected MAILA components and assists with system configuration, including SAT angle calculation and wireless software updates.
