LD Systems MAILA L is a 15kW full-range stereo ground stack PA system that combines bandpass subwoofers, powered column modules, and line array satellites into one scalable sound reinforcement solution. Designed for maximum output and flexibility, it delivers powerful bass, extended throw, and precise coverage for medium-sized live sound applications where flown setups are not possible.
The LD Systems MAILA L is the largest ground stack configuration in the MAILA family, delivering an impressive 15,000 watts RMS of total output. The system consists of four MAILA SUB dual 15" bandpass subwoofers, two MAILA COL powered column modules, and twelve MAILA SAT passive array satellites. This hybrid design merges the punch of large-format subs with the clarity and controlled dispersion of a modern line array system.
At the foundation are four high-performance 2x15" bandpass subwoofers, each powered by a 2,500W Class D amplifier with advanced SysCore® DSP processing. With low-frequency extension down to 33 Hz and peak SPL up to 137 dB per sub, the MAILA L produces deep, authoritative bass suitable for high-energy music environments and demanding live productions.
Each MAILA COL column module integrates four 6.5" neodymium woofers and a 2,500W 4-channel DSP amplifier. The columns power and control the MAILA SAT satellites via SmartLink+® rails, eliminating the need for external speaker cabling between modules. Six MAILA SAT satellites mount per column, utilizing Advanced WaveAhead® technology with five 1" tweeters positioned in front of a 6.5" midrange driver for precise, interference-free coupling through the SonicGuide® waveguide system. An integrated passive membrane extends low-mid performance down to 100 Hz, maintaining punch despite compact dimensions.
For optimal audience coverage, each satellite features the patented EasySplay® mechanism, allowing angle adjustment from 0° to 8° with one hand—even under load. The complete ground stack reaches over 3.3 meters (3,370 mm / 132.7 in) in height, delivering impressive throw and a vertical dispersion range from 8° to 48°. Configuration is handled directly on the unit or wirelessly via the MAILA Quick Setup App (iPadOS), with LogoLink® antennas discreetly integrated into the LD logo for reliable wireless control up to 30 meters. MAILA L is engineered for clubs, festival stages, and corporate events requiring maximum impact in a ground-stacked format.
