LD Systems MAILA XL is a high-power, compact stereo line array system designed primarily for flown applications, delivering 17.5kW RMS of scalable performance. With cable-free array connections, flexible aiming, and powerful bandpass subwoofer support, it’s built for professional productions that demand throw, consistent dispersion, and efficient deployment in venues like clubs, theatres, and large conference spaces.
The LD Systems MAILA XL is engineered for applications that need serious line array performance without the bulk and complexity of traditional large-format systems. Built as a scalable stereo sound reinforcement solution, MAILA XL pairs powerful low-frequency support with flown amplifier control and compact line array satellites—delivering high throw and even coverage for live sound, corporate productions, and theatre environments.
Low-frequency output is handled by six MAILA SUB powered bandpass subwoofers, each featuring dual 15" neodymium drivers and a 2,500W Class D amplifier with SysCore® DSP. With low-frequency extension down to 33 Hz and peak SPL up to 137 dB per sub, the system delivers strong, controlled bass foundation with the punch and clarity needed for modern live sound.
For flown configurations, each hang is driven by a MAILA SPA amplifier module with integrated SysCore® DSP, carrying the amplifier electronics and providing a clean, compact flown architecture. Beneath each SPA module, eight MAILA SAT satellites mount in an elegant unibody aluminium housing. SmartLink+® rails provide a completely cable-free signal and power connection between the SPA module and satellites as well as between the satellites themselves, keeping the array slim and fast to deploy.
Each MAILA SAT satellite uses Advanced WaveAhead® design, combining five 1" tweeters positioned in front of a 6.5" midrange driver and coupled via SonicGuide® waveguides to reduce interference and maintain consistent dispersion. A passive membrane extends punch down to 100 Hz, helping the system retain strong low-mid impact. Coverage is quickly optimized using EasySplay® angle adjustment (0° to 8° per cabinet), while the MAILA Quick Setup App (iPadOS) simplifies configuration and even calculates recommended splay angles. LogoLink® antennas integrated into the LD logos support reliable wireless app control in practical ranges up to 30 meters.
