LD Systems MAILA XXL is the most powerful system in the MAILA family, delivering 20kW RMS in a compact, scalable stereo line array format. Designed primarily for flown applications, it combines high-performance bandpass subwoofers, powered column modules with integrated DSP, and cable-free line array satellites to provide maximum throw, consistent dispersion, and flexible deployment for professional live sound and rental production environments.
The LD Systems MAILA XXL is engineered for professional users who demand the highest levels of output, coverage consistency, and flexibility. Built as a scalable stereo line array system, MAILA XXL can be deployed in flown configurations or reconfigured into a MAILA L-style ground stack when required, making it ideal for rental companies and production providers seeking maximum versatility.
The low-frequency foundation is formed by six MAILA SUB powered bandpass subwoofers, each equipped with dual 15" neodymium drivers and a 2,500W Class D amplifier with SysCore® DSP. With low-frequency extension down to 33 Hz and peak SPL up to 137 dB per sub, the system delivers massive, controlled bass suitable for large halls, clubs, and live event productions.
Each hang is powered by a MAILA COL full-range column module featuring four 6.5" woofers and an integrated 2,500W 4-channel DSP amplifier. The column extends low-mid performance while supplying power and control to the satellites via SmartLink+® rails, eliminating traditional speaker cabling between modules. Eight MAILA SAT satellites mount beneath each column in an elegant die-cast aluminium housing, creating a slim, cable-free flown array.
Every MAILA SAT utilizes Advanced WaveAhead® technology, combining five 1" tweeters placed in front of a 6.5" midrange driver and coupled through SonicGuide® waveguides for reduced interference and consistent dispersion. An integrated passive membrane enhances punch down to 100 Hz. With EasySplay® angle adjustment (0° to 8° per cabinet), vertical coverage can be optimized quickly and precisely, achieving a total vertical dispersion range of 8° to 64°. Wireless configuration is handled via the MAILA Quick Setup App (iPadOS), with LogoLink® antennas discreetly integrated into the LD logos for reliable control up to 30 meters.
