The NovaStar MX40 Pro is a flagship 2U LED display controller that combines high-resolution video processing and LED screen control in one rackmount chassis. Its 9 million-pixel capacity, four independent 4K layers, professional video connections, and extensive Ethernet and optical outputs provide the flexibility required for large-format LED displays and demanding live-production systems.
The NovaStar MX40 Pro integrates video processing and LED display control into a rugged 2U chassis for touring, rental, broadcast, corporate AV, house-of-worship, and fixed-installation applications. Its 20 Gigabit Ethernet outputs support a combined loading capacity of up to 9 million pixels, while four 10G optical ports provide high-bandwidth connectivity for compatible fiber-based LED systems.
Three HDMI 2.0 inputs, one DisplayPort 1.2 input, and one 12G-SDI input accommodate a wide range of professional media servers, switchers, cameras, and playback devices. Each HDMI input includes a dedicated loop-through connection, and the 12G-SDI input also provides loop-through for distributing video to additional equipment.
Four independent layers support content with resolutions up to 4K and can be arranged using adjustable Z-order priority. Each layer supports custom scaling, pixel-to-pixel display, snap-to-canvas positioning, and fill-screen scaling for flexible LED canvas layouts.
Advanced image tools include HDR10 and HLG support, 14-channel color correction, RGBW color curves, color replacement, 3D LUT processing, and Dynamic Booster image enhancement. Genlock synchronization, low-latency processing, SPDIF digital audio output, and NovaStar VMP software compatibility make the controller suitable for demanding productions where image quality, synchronization, and centralized control are critical.
