The PreSonus AIR XD SUB 18 is built for users who need deeper extension and greater low-frequency impact from an active subwoofer system. Its custom 18-inch low-frequency driver uses an enlarged 3-inch voice coil to deliver punchy, controlled bass with efficient power handling and minimal distortion, making it well suited for DJs, bands, production companies, houses of worship, and fixed installations.
Powered by a 2,000-watt Class D amplifier, the AIR XD SUB 18 provides strong low-end output with up to 130 dB peak SPL. Advanced onboard DSP gives users the tools to shape system response with variable lowpass filtering, delay, polarity, and dedicated cardioid and end-fire array presets. The integrated Mo’ Bass mode adds extra low-frequency punch when more impact is needed.
System integration is straightforward with dual XLR/TRS combo inputs, balanced XLR link outputs, Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, and TWS Bridge Mode for wireless stereo operation with compatible AIR XD full-range models. A full-color 2.6-inch LCD makes it easy to access metering, DSP controls, and tuning settings directly from the cabinet.
The plywood enclosure is designed for durability and portability, with steel grille protection, ergonomic side handles, built-in caster mounting, and ground-stacking provisions.
