The PreSonus StudioLive SE 16 is built for engineers who need a compact mixer without giving up serious routing, processing, or recording capability. Its 16 fully recallable XMAX preamps include 8 XLR mic inputs and 8 combo mic/line inputs, making it well suited for bands, houses of worship, production companies, rehearsal spaces, and mobile recording rigs. It also includes 24 DCA groups, 4 dedicated subgroups, and 4 dedicated FX mixes with stereo returns, giving users the control needed for monitor mixes, front fills, broadcast feeds, and complex live productions. Vintage-inspired compressors and multiple State-Space modeled EQ options are available on every input and bus, helping users tailor the console to a wide range of applications.
Recording and playback are central to the StudioLive SE 16 workflow. The mixer features an integrated 64x64 USB 2.0 audio interface for studio and live multitrack capture, plus onboard 34-track SD card recording for standalone sessions and show capture. With source switching between analog, USB, SD, and AVB on each channel, it is easy to integrate computers, backing tracks, digital stage boxes, and networked audio devices into a single streamlined system.
Built-in Milan-certified AVB networking expands the mixer for larger systems and modern production environments. It can connect with PreSonus stage boxes, personal monitor mixers, other StudioLive Series III mixers, and optional Dante workflows through the AVB-D16 bridge.
