I used this item as a wireless audio transmitter for my JBL Eon One MK2 speakers to create a full wireless system. It worked well with the speakers around 100 feet away. I can't speak about any other distances. My only issue is that after a while (5-15 minutes) the system would start become susceptible to interference caused by cell phones that pass in direct line of sight. This happened regardless of the frequency selected. The only solution was to ensure that the antennas for the transmitter and the receiver were far above the level where people were operating cell phones. So, if in a situation where people are passing at your level and above you on another floor there was no escape from the interference.
I have four of these now and the product works well. It's networked and very intuitive, with an Engineer Mode for fine-tuning. The only reason it gets 4 stars is that Sennheiser made the stupid decision to make the On light red right underneath the low-battery indicator. I've had several bands tell me their battery was low when it's really not. Stupid, but still a great product. Mine have been dropped several times by several artists and they are still fully functional.
