The Tegeler MythVCA 500 was designed to offer the control and versatility expected from a full-featured VCA compressor in a compact 500 Series format. It is equally comfortable bringing individual sources forward in a mix, controlling peaks during recording, or adding cohesion and energy across subgroups and stereo buses.

Its compression controls make it easy to dial in both subtle and assertive dynamics shaping. With selectable ratios of 2:1, 4:1, and 10:1, plus adjustable attack and release times, the MythVCA 500 can respond gently to preserve musical detail or clamp down harder when more obvious compression is needed. The auto-release mode helps the compressor respond more musically to changing source material.

A built-in low-cut filter from 60 Hz to 120 Hz adds further flexibility by reducing low-frequency influence on the detector circuit, which is especially useful for keeping bass-heavy material from over-triggering compression.
