I have two of these and I have been very happy with them. They do what I need and don't break my back (or my bank!) There are several applications these can be used for. If your venue has tall ceilings, they area great platform to put your moving heads on top of. If the venue has low ceilings, you're probably better off just using a T bar, but adding these to your inventory gives you options! You can also stage them on either side of a doorway to create an impactful entrance to any event.

They are big enough for pretty much all par cans. I use an ADJ Ultra Go Par 7X in each of mine and they fit great. I also have some Puck 3's from Blizzard lighting and they just barely fit (you have to take off the yokes, though).

The carrying handles are very nice and don't cut into your hands. The rounded edges on the base plates create a nice look and don't scrape up the floor. They are also very lightweight. Chauvet recommends using sandbags for safety, but I think they'll be fine under most circumstances. If somebody pile drives into it they're going to fall over with or without sandbags.

The truss pins and cotter pins are the only downside. The cotter pins don't lock at all, they slide on but there is NO tension to keep them from sliding out. The truss pins fit almost every hole without needing a hammer, which is nice, but doesn't create the most solid structure. However, when you have the tight scrim covering all the pins there's no way that they'll vibrate out and fall apart.

I like the carrying bags that it comes with and everything can fit inside. However, I wish the carrying bag had a small pocket for the hardware. Nobody wants all their pins rolling around in the main bag. I just keep them in a separate bag.

Overall this is a great product at a reasonable cost. They help elevate your look and add versatility to your setup.
