Wharfedale Pro WLA-28SUBA is a dual 15-inch active subwoofer designed to provide powerful low-frequency reinforcement for touring sound systems, installed venues, houses of worship, and event production. With internal Class D amplification, DSP-based processing, 8 FIR presets, and integrated rigging, it delivers high-output bass support for WLA-28A active line array deployments.
The Wharfedale Pro WLA-28SUBA is the dedicated low-frequency element for the WLA-28A active line array system. Its bass-reflex design uses two 15-inch Wharfedale Pro ferrite drivers with aluminum frames and 4-inch voice coils to deliver tight, extended bass for live music, DJs, production companies, and permanent sound installations.
Powered by a high-efficiency Class D amplifier, the WLA-28SUBA provides 2000W continuous power and 4000W peak power, giving the system the output and headroom needed for demanding venues and events. DSP-based processing with 8 FIR presets helps tailor performance to different configurations, while preset-dependent crossover control supports integration with other WLA-28A system elements.
The cabinet is built from 15 mm / 18 mm birch plywood with a black Tough-Tone finish and steel grille, making it suitable for rental, touring, and installed applications. The enclosure includes two handles and integral rigging, allowing the subwoofer to be flown or ground-stacked depending on the system design.
For control and connectivity, the Wharfedale Pro WLA-28SUBA includes an XLR 1/4-inch combo input, balanced XLR link output, USB Type B update port, RJ45 RS485 networking, powerCON AC input, and powerCON loop-through. RMS, peak limiter, DC, short-circuit, thermal, low-line voltage, and power-on mute protection help support reliable operation in professional environments.
