“Skywriter” – The name alone conjures up endless possibilities that are uniquely suited for an X-Laser. Production companies at home and abroad alike agreed and ordered it in record numbers making it our most frequently specified high powered laser platform of the last few years.

Roadworthy and field serviceable, the 2012 Skywriters now feature higher output power, crisper optics, double the scanner speed, and even an SD card reader built right in so .ild files can be fired remotely from DMX.

FDA Certified, Class IIIB & IV. Skywriters comply with UL, cUL, ETL, CE and IEC standards for high powered entertainment laser systems.

2X Scanner Speed

The 2012 Skywriters now feature even faster graphics scanners with up to 2x the speed of the 2010-2011 models. More speed is great for rendering larger or more complex graphics smoothly.

Road Ready 

Skywriter’s front panel flips down allowing laser technicians to easily perform critical alignments and field service while on the road with nothing more than an allen key set.

From filtered air intakes to an integrated SD card reader and beyond, X-Laser’s 2012 Skywriters are ready to meet virtually any task wherever it may be.

Features

  • 2x Scanner Speed: 2012 Skywriter models feature 30,000pps graphics scanners, doubling the speed from previous models allowing you to project HUGE billboard sized graphics.
  • Up to 4x Power: 2012 Skywriters now feature power levels up to 2W, and RGB power more than twice that of previous models.
  • Many Modes of Control: 14 Channels of DMX, Sound Active, Auto, Playback .ild Files on SD card via DMX, Auto SD on power-up, and of course, ILDA with a passthrough.
  • Safety Systems: FDA & IEC compliant, Skywriters safety systems are second to none and include both an interlock circuit and FDA compliant key lock. An optional scan fail system is available by request.
Many other options and power levels are available by request as custom builds. Skywriters come in two sizes depending on the amount of hardware included in the housing. Large size housings ship in ATA flight cases and small housings ship in custom shock resistant boxes. Please note that BEYOND and Quickshow do not presently export to .ild for use with the SD card system. Stock .ild files can be purchased online, made custom by a variety of online vendors or created using a number of software packages including Pangolin’s LD2000.
