The Ape Labs LightCan is the ideal product to create a quick and easy atmosphere for everything from mobile DJ events to simple home use. This professional LED effect light lasts at least 8 hours with one battery charge. It can also be used with a permanently connected power supply. The ApeLabs 2.4GHz Remote Control can be used to control the LightCan and/or any other Ape Labs product. You can control an unlimited quantity and unlimited variety of ApeLabs fixtures, all at the same time....up to four different groups from a single remote.
Professional users can control the LightCan via "wireless DMX" with the ape labs W-APE wireless DMX transceiver or with the MobiLight 4 (light and transceiver combo).
The pre-configured programs, colors, and speeds offer the perfect lighting for any event. Moreover, the lamp has a sound active mode. It is controlled by the internal microphone, which adapts automatically to the volume.
Because of the splash-proof design, the Ape Labs Can is suitable for (temporary) outdoor use. The housing is made of aircraft aluminum, which meets the highest requirements of professional users.
All ape labs products are compatible with each other and can be controlled by the same Remote Control, W-APE Transceiver, or MobiLight 4. All colors and programs match across the different device types. Ape Labs devices communicate with each other and repeat the original 2.4GHz signal continuously (100ft range per LightCan, ApeLight Mini, or ApeStick 4 / 3,000ft range per ApeLight Maxi, ApeLight, or MobiLight 4).

Keep It Simple!
I checked many reviews for the Ape Labs Can and I have to say that it is a great light for its size. Tested in a large room with 30ft ceiling and it was very bright! Also stayed on for over 6 hours ( one color ) I will say that the light comes with no Ape Labs packaging, instructions, cables, or remote if you order the solo version.
So I have been in the market for up lighting for a while now and like most of us, I ma on a budget. Did a lot of research and kept seeing Ape Labs pop up in searches so I had to see for myself. I purchased one Ape labs Can (solo) Here is the goods. This light is bright for its size and I got about 8 hours on one charge of six AA batteries that I purchased from Amazon. The bad.. To be honest for the price of these little guys and most of their product line I was expecting a nice box with at least a charger and instructions. I received my CAN in a UPS box wrapped in bubble wrap and the extra lens was thrown in there as well. No charing cable, no instructions, no remote. I actually messaged the rep to confirm that this was the norm and he's said it was. So, it is a great light but for THAT price I would like a bit more than a CAN in a box. There are plenty of how to videos from AL and others so you won't be completely lost. I will probably buy another to have a set since I had to buy the remote separate;y as well. Also this thing is literally the size of a Red Bull can which can be really good or really bad depending on your event clientele.
Excellent built, comes with 2 lens choices but if you buy the single no battery and no control pad. Recommended Battery's I use: Black 6AA Panasonic Eneloop pro 2550mah
Ordered my second Solo can, and did buy a remote a while ago. Very impressed with the remote functions and transmit distance!
This is my second Ape Can. Bought my first one just to see what all the hype was about. Very impressed with these little lights! I will say that you should find the best rechargeable batteries that you can find. That makes a big difference in run time especially in sound active mode. Also purchase the mag holder to attach to the bottoms of the Ape Can.
This will be my 4th Ape Labs Can from KPODJ. Love these little lights. I did some side by side comparisons with large Chauvet light and while the Chauvet may be brighter, for the money, the Ape Can is the way to go!
Great product. Extremely versatile. The effect lens works really well between Maxi's for up-lighting to create a diverse lighting landscape. It also works great in front of a subwoofer. The diffuser lens is great for behind scrimmed tripod or any scrim really. The removal of 1 star is because you have to buy your own rechargeable batteries and they tend not to stay in place during transport. Use a piece of gaff tape around the batteries to keep them in place.
