Since the Neon CW utilizes Red, Green, Blue and Cool White LED color mixing, while the Neon and the rest of the Ape Labs 2.0 series utilizes Red, Green, Blue and their signature amberWhite LED color miixing, the CW version may not perfectly match the rest of the Ape Labs Ecosystem when it comes to ambers, whites, pastels, and candlelight colors. So for perfect color matching across all SKUs and all colors, the standard Ape Labs Neon may be a better choice. But for brighter, punchier whites (and identical RGB color mixing), the Neon CW is the right move!

I purchased two sets of the Ape Labs Neon CW with Tour Box. First I like the ease of charging these in the case. The app feature with controls is easy enough to use. Strobe feature & colors are great.. Just a few draw backs. Deeper purple hue would be great..almost a UV or deeper blue for those applications during Halloween & various events we do when we need them. I see now they have more mounting options & brackets for truss mounts which was limited when I purchased these.. Overall a great product so far.
Wonderful lights, and they work with my existing Ape Labs fleet. A few gotchas? The case ships with the magnets installed, which sounds like a great idea until two of the tubes mate and you'll need the Hammer of Thor to separate them again. The case latches were unintuitive for me (hint: pull them forward). The integrated charging isn't as slick as on some of the other Ape Labs producs (Maxis, Cans) but is more than adequate. The lights have a satisfying sturdy build. The included small stands are just about perfect for what I do. The custom case is slick with a near-watertight seal, wheels and carry handles, although getting the tubes back in their case isn't a quick task. Pricey, but you get what you pay for.
