The Chauvet DJ FXpar 9 is a dynamic and compact multi-effect fixture. It has an outer ring of RGB+UV LEDs, a center LED, and SMD strobes, each featuring separate control.  Mutable zones allow for spectacular effects via DMX. These lights are bright and cool. They have many different patterns and light colors. The amount of functions you could use these for are endless.
Great light!!<br /> Very bright, rich and fun to see in action. Used them for a wedding as wash lights and later, action lights for the dancing. The auto programs are awesome. Definitely, a must have light.
I really like this light. Two of these on a pole (I use a speaker pole with a short T-Bar), and it's enough to light a whole small to medium room. I run it off of ADJ MYDMX, with wireless. I can then control what colors to use, light patterns, etc...
I bought these solely for the effect of the program where 3 of the outer ring LEDs have the appearance of a rotating triangle. They are extremely bright. My only wish is that they had a sound active program (without using DMX) that could randomly circulate through all of the programs instead of just one program at a time. The CHS-30 bag is perfect for 4 or 5 of these.
These are "annoyingly bright" to look at from 25 feet. Two will blast most dance floors with light, even just UV (which does have a bit visible purple). Plenty of useful built-in programs, especially easy to access with the IRC-6 remote. <br /> Manually from the unit you can only control by color (R/G/B/UV/strobing), not outer ring/center. There's no manual control for the ring of SMD strobes from the unit and the IRC-6 allows only on/off, no dimming. The beam is well blended, I only noticed some distinct spots with a mix of red and green. <br /> Dimming is not smooth so slow color fades should be avoided. Overall, amazing little light for the price!
