The Prost Lighting MoonDot is a versatile and affordable lighting solution perfect for small spaces and creative lighting setups. With its compact size and USB power, this set of 4 RGBW mini par lights offers flexibility and ease of use, making it ideal for uplighting, wash effects, and more.
The Prost Lighting MoonDot is a compact and efficient RGBW LED mini par light that delivers exceptional brightness and vibrant colors. Designed as an affordable alternative to the Ape Labs Coin 2.0, the MoonDot offers similar output intensity but with simplified controls via an included RF remote. This remote allows users to easily manage color, brightness, speed, and sound-active modes, with the ability to group lights together for synchronized effects. Each MoonDot is USB-powered, providing flexibility to use with standard USB power supplies or portable USB battery banks for a battery-powered setup. The package includes Fresnel lenses for creating a signature V-shaped uplight effect and Frost lenses for a wide-angle wash, making these lights ideal for a range of applications, from event uplighting to ambient lighting decor. Despite its tiny size, the MoonDot has a powerful 15 Watt output. Also, it is compatible with many Ape Labs Coin v1 accessories, enabling creative customization.
In order to make this fixture so affordable, the MoonDot does not have advanced control features that you'd find in the Ape Labs Coin such as app control, wireless DMX, MusikMode, or integration into the Ape Labs Ecosystem. However, it is great with simple controls, and the RF remote boasts an impressive 75ft non-directional range.

My review is somewhat skewed because of multiple issues that I ran into with these lights... The first issue is that they were clearly used with scratches on the back of them. Additionally on 4 of them, the RF remote was Already paired to the RF remote straight out of the box . This should not be the case because according to the instruction manual the remote these come unpaired and the lights won't work until they are ...(So this indicated to me that they were paired up to the remote in the past & used). The 4 other lights were not much better... 3 of them would not pair to the RF remote at all (despite the manual saying it can be paired to up to 16 lights at a time) & the final remaining light paired to the remote but it flickered like it was used or about to die. Submitted a claim with the company so we'll see if this issue can be corrected. And once it is, I'll update my rating accordingly.
