ColorKey Creator Nova Prime is a flagship moving head that combines a 200W white beam, 12 NovaCell lenses, and two RGB UHX halos in one versatile lighting fixture. Its multiple independently controllable light engines allow designers to create sharp aerial beams, wide washes, pixel effects, layered color looks, and combinations of these effects from a single moving head.
The ColorKey Creator Nova Prime is designed to deliver the capabilities of several lighting effects within one moving-head platform. At its center is a 200W white light source producing a tight 2° beam, complemented by a color wheel with 13 colors plus white, a gobo wheel with 10 gobos plus open, 16- and 8-facet prisms, a frost filter, and motorized focus.
Surrounding the beam are 12 NovaCell lenses. Each NovaCell combines a 40W RGBW COB LED with six 5W RGBA SMD LEDs, giving the complete fixture 12 COB LEDs and 72 SMD LEDs. Independent control of the COB and SMD sources allows lighting designers to build layered colors, chases, pixel movement, and dynamic visual effects beyond a conventional single-source moving head.
The NovaCell system also features zoom and rotation. The RGBW COB LEDs provide an adjustable 8° to 31° beam angle, allowing the fixture to transition between a tighter punchy effect and a broader wash. The RGBA SMD LEDs provide a 52° beam angle for additional wide-angle color and pixel effects. These engines can be combined with the central beam to create multiple visual layers simultaneously.
Two RGB UHX halos add another independently controllable visual element and support coordinated programming with compatible UHX fixtures. For mobile production companies, venues, theaters, clubs, houses of worship, and permanent installations, the Creator Nova Prime also includes dual folding clamps, power linking, a full-color LCD display, DMX512 and RDM control, Auto modes, and Sound Active operation.
