The Furman M-8z is a 120V rackmount power conditioner designed to protect audio, lighting, AV, and studio equipment from potentially damaging power conditions while reducing unwanted AC-line noise. Furman M-8z Description

The Furman M-8z brings essential Furman power conditioning and protection to recording studios, live sound racks, AV systems, commercial installations, and other equipment setups operating from 120V AC power. Its 15A capacity and integrated circuit protection make it well suited for consolidating multiple rack-mounted components into a single power-management system.

Extreme Voltage Shutdown continuously monitors incoming AC voltage and disconnects connected equipment when voltage reaches unsafe levels. The unit has an under-voltage shutoff point of 85VAC +/- 5% and an over-voltage shutoff point of 140VAC +/- 5%, helping protect sensitive equipment from potentially damaging power abnormalities.

Standard-level surge protection provides line-to-neutral protection with 126 joules of energy dissipation, a 6,500A peak impulse current rating, and a maximum clamping voltage of 455V. Built-in AC noise filtration provides greater than 20dB attenuation from 200kHz to 10MHz to help reduce RFI and EMI that can interfere with audio and AV systems.

The steel rackmount design is only 1.75 inches high and fits a standard 19-inch rack. Front-panel USB-C and USB-A charging ports provide convenient charging for phones, tablets, wireless accessories, and other compatible devices without using additional rack power connections.
