First, the staff at KPODJ is very attentive and helpful. This review is of the product, not of KPODJ staff or associates.
I purchased 2 of these adapters on July 24th for an event on July 29th 2017. One adapter I received was not fully welded from the manufacturer. Yet, this adapter went through the powder coated process and was packaged for shipment. After informing KPODJ on July 27th about the problem, I was put in contact with Anthony - associated with Stagg company. I explained my safety concerns about the faulty adapter, and informed him that I purchased these adapters for my July 29th event. This would require overnight shipping from Stagg for a replacement stand adapter. Anthony informed me that I would be responsible for an overnight shipping charge in excess of $200.00 USD - for an adapter valued at $63.00 USD. Unacceptable. Eventually, Anthony did agree to cover overnight shipping for a replacement adapter. However, the replacement that I received was a previously returned product that is bent, has
damage, and is missing parts.
From my experience, I DO NOT recommend any product from Stagg.
Again, KPODJ staff is very helpful.
I DO recommend doing business with KPODJ.
Ted.
I was very pleased with this product. So much easier to hang lights without the hassle of using tripods. I recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a light pole system to use with pole mount speakers.
Great product and helps my set up look cleaner and safer. My only gripe is I wish was the top lighting post was a little taller and a little more forward. My purpose is to put my gigbars on top and the beams from the light hit the top of my speaker which is a 12 inch EV. But over-all I would recommend these.
We are overall pleased with the pair we purchased. They don't work with a pair of Mackie 15a Thumps, but there is enough of the adjustable bar to drill a hole to fit them
Great idea poor execution. The units I received were basically bad in that every plastic piece on the unit was cracked or broken. The item itself was still functional so I didn't bother sending them back. It's a pretty bulky kit and there is no carrying bag for it that I'm aware of. So you'll have to figure out how your going to carry it. It comes in three pieces that are easy to assemble. The main bar is square so you cant use any clamps which is what I would have preferred. The welds on my unit seem a bit sketchy so I'll have to keep a eye on it and see how it holds up. I'm hoping Gator or ultimate support or one of the bigger better quality companies come up with some thing similar that is more functional and easier to carry. I wouldn't order these last minute cause you might get a dysfunctional piece. I recommend using these on speaker stands with hydraulic lifts or else you'll need a step ladder to get the unit up. Make sure to place your speaker first before adding your lights or the whole thing will come crashing down. The entire rig is rated for a extra 44 pounds of lights so make sure your speaker stand can support the weight . I have two sets of speakers stands both are rated for just over 100 pounds and I use ten speakers typically so I had no issues with set up and stability. My only gripe is quality, the item is cheaply made and packaged. But for 68 bucks it was ok.
Does what it’s supposed to do, and the price is right. KPODJ had great communication and service.
