The LD Systems MAUI 44 G3 SUB is a high-performance 15-inch powered extension subwoofer designed to enhance the low-frequency output of the MAUI 44 G3 column PA system. The LD Systems MAUI 44 G3 SUB provides additional low-frequency reinforcement for MAUI 44 G3 column PA systems. Its custom 15-inch neodymium woofer features a 4-inch voice coil and an optimized bass-reflex design that produces powerful, controlled bass while minimizing port noise and turbulence. DynX Gen. 2 digital signal processing incorporates advanced limiting and protection functions to maintain dependable operation during demanding performances. The subwoofer is designed for mobile DJs, live bands, event production companies, and professional sound reinforcement installations requiring greater low-frequency output.
The MAUI 44 G3 SUB offers two practical expansion configurations. For increased bass output, the additional subwoofer can be positioned facing forward alongside the main MAUI 44 G3 system with the cardioid preset disabled, providing up to 6 dB more low-frequency sound pressure in the appropriate configuration. For improved bass directivity, positioning the extension subwoofer facing backward and activating its dedicated Cardioid preset reduces unwanted rearward bass radiation while reinforcing low frequencies toward the audience. This flexibility helps optimize sound performance for different venues, stage arrangements, and audience areas.
System integration is straightforward thanks to the automatic FOLLOWER mode, which activates when no column is installed. The extension subwoofer connects to the Sub-Out or System-Out of a compatible MAUI 44 G3 system using an XLR cable connected to the right input of the follower unit. Its rugged 18 mm birch multiplex enclosure features a protective polyurea coating and shock-resistant steel front grille for demanding professional use. Four ergonomic carrying handles simplify transport and positioning, while its compact enclosure maintains the same footprint as the MAUI 44 G3 system subwoofer.
