PCDJ DEX 4 is an all-in-one DJ software solution for Mac and Windows that combines professional audio mixing, music video mixing, and karaoke hosting in one powerful application. Designed for mobile DJs, club DJs, video DJs, and karaoke hosts, DEX 4 offers up to four mixing decks, real-time stem separation, automatic beat syncing, streaming music integration, and advanced performance tools for live entertainment.
PCDJ DEX 4 gives DJs and entertainers the flexibility to mix music, perform with music videos, and host karaoke from a single software platform. Its customizable 2-deck and 4-deck layouts provide familiar transport and mixer controls, while advanced features such as automatic BPM synchronization, harmonic key mixing, quantized loops, hot cues, and responsive playback make it easy to build dynamic live sets. High-quality time-stretching and pitch-shifting help maintain audio clarity when adjusting tempo and key.
Creative mixing goes further with AIUnmixEQ, which uses machine learning to separate supported tracks into vocals, instruments, and drums/percussion in real time. DJs can manipulate these elements through EQ controls and kill pads to create transitions, remixes, and mashups. Built-in effects include echo, delay, reverb, flanger, phaser, filters, and more. Additional performance tools include loop rolls, slicer, pitch play, vinyl simulation, and an 8-slot sample player. DEX 4 also supports more than 120 DJ controllers, providing hands-on control with automatic controller detection and MIDI LEARN mapping.
DEX 4 includes a comprehensive media browser with search-as-you-type functionality, customizable playlists, library filtering, track history, tag editing, and automatic mixing. Supported streaming integrations provide access to music through compatible TIDAL, SoundCloud Go+, Beatport LINK, and Beatsource LINK subscriptions. For video performances, DEX 4 supports music video mixing, visual transitions, full HD recording up to 1920 x 1080, and customizable on-screen text, image, and video overlays. Shader support adds beat-aware visuals for multimedia performances.
Karaoke hosts benefit from integrated singer rotation management, individual singer/song histories, automatic filler music playback, and the KSR web-based karaoke song request system. Singers can browse an online songbook and submit requests using compatible internet-connected devices. DEX 4 also supports compatible karaoke subscription services, including Party Tyme Karaoke and Karaoke Cloud Pro, along with in-app karaoke song purchasing. Whether performing at weddings, clubs, private parties, or karaoke venues, DEX 4 combines music mixing and entertainment management in one application. Streaming and karaoke subscription services may require separate paid accounts.
