The Peavey Kosmos V2 is a really cool product. This is a patented subharmonic generator the patent is for the way that the Kosmos keeps the bass tight. Normally Bass enhancers create new signal an octave below the bottom frequencies in your original signal. The problem is that this new signal is twice as long as the original signal and therefore not in sync with the beat. The Kosmos cleverly gets around this by applying to the new signal the amplitude envelope (the volume up and down) of the original signal. The Hi frequencies are just as cool here the Kosmos gives you just one knob that reduces multiple carefully selected narrow frequencies between 1K and 20K that are different on each side of the signal (left and right). This reduces the phase cancellation in the high frequency and clears up the hi's significantly. These patented technologies along with a built in 150Hz crossover make this the ultimate bass enhancer. The Peavey speaker department went over this product after the engineer developed it and made changes that ensure that no damage will come to your speakers. No wonder it has been used in remastering sessions and live concerts all over the world.
