The RF Venue D-OMNID5 is a complete 5-channel wireless microphone upgrade pack combining antenna distribution, polarization-diversity reception, RF cabling, and DC power distribution in one coordinated system. The Diversity Omni Antenna provides 360-degree coverage while the DISTRO5 HDR distributes one diversity antenna pair to as many as five wireless microphone receivers from a compact half-rack enclosure.
The RF Venue D-OMNID5 is designed for wireless microphone systems that need broad RF coverage without relying on two separately positioned omnidirectional antennas. Its Diversity Omni Antenna incorporates two antenna elements on a single stand, capturing vertically and horizontally polarized RF signals and providing separate A and B diversity outputs.
The antenna provides a 360-degree azimuth pattern, making it particularly useful when performers, presenters, or wireless microphones move around the antenna rather than remaining in one direction. RF Venue recommends the Diversity Omni for smaller spaces, multi-zone installations, and outdoor environments where wide-area coverage is needed. Typical coverage can extend to approximately 100 feet from the center under suitable RF conditions, although actual range depends on the surrounding environment and system configuration.
The DISTRO5 HDR provides the RF distribution platform for the bundle. Its High Dynamic Range circuitry is designed to maintain linearity across a wide range of RF signal levels while distributing one diversity antenna pair to five diversity output pairs. The compact half-rack chassis also includes rack-mount hardware, and two DISTRO5 HDR units can be cascaded to serve up to nine diversity receivers in a single 1RU rack space.
Power distribution is integrated into the system as well. The DISTRO5 HDR provides a 12V DC output rated for up to 5A for compatible rack equipment and also includes a 12V DC input for applications requiring external DC or battery operation. Two 25-foot RF Venue Low Loss Antenna Cables, ten 1.5-foot Low Loss BNC Interconnect Cables, and a DC-OCTOPUS-CABLE complete the bundle for a clean, organized wireless microphone installation.
