The Ultimate Support TS-90 is a lightweight speaker stand made of
high-grade aluminum in a matte black finish, with a 150 pound load capacity. The
stand features a built-in socket adapter accommodating both 1-3/8" and 1-1/2"
speaker sockets, a glass-reinforced polycarbonate telescoping collar, with a
die-cast metal clamp for extra security, and an easily tightened adjustment
knob.
A tube stop prevents accidental removal of the center tube, and the die-cast
metal leg collar clamp ensures maximum stability at the base. The closure lever
for the legs is preset to the proper tension for quick setup.

These stands are top notch! The locking mechanism makes the otherwise daunting task of raising the heavy speakers by myself quite a breeze. <br /> The construction of them are strong and durable. One of my pairs are more than 10 years old with regular almost daily use and still are smooth in their movement and reliable in their function. <br /> They look great too, they don't look like some of the rinky dink ones I've seen other people using.<br /> But no quality is sacrificed given their light weight, I've used them for speakers that weigh well more than 100 lbs along with lighting equip... no problem.
I like these stands. I really do. The telelock system is really a great innovation, and the next best thing behind having "powered" stands. The build quality on these things is also very good. You can tell the materials are good quality.<br /> <br /> There is one problem with them. They have a vibration in them, and it's not from normal wear & tear. I have two separate sets of stands I purchased 2-3 years apart from one another. Both sets do this (yes, the brand new ones did it too). It only happens from certain frequencies, and the sound comes from the telelock housing (but I'm not taking it apart to find out from what exactly.<br /> <br /> I've brought this issue up to Ultimate Support on two separate occasions, and each time I've received no resolution. At first they told me it's the push-pin clip used to secure the pole adapter which goes into the bottom of your speaker. Per their instructions I put some foam and tape on it to dampen the clip. As I had suspected, it wasn't the clip. After I relayed this information to them, they literally did nothing. <br /> <br /> I also find the use of words such as "lifetime warranty" deceptive in their advertising when they say in the very next sentence "lifetime=7 years". WTF??? Since when is a lifetime 7 years? At least it didn't say "dog years" I suppose. <br /> <br /> I would give these 5 stars for their good quality materials, but I have to subtract a star for Ultimate arrogantly not resolving the issue of vibration (they claim they shouldn't vibrate, but reality says otherwise), and I have to take another star away for deceptively using the words "lifetime" in their warranty verbiage. <br />
Much like the first reviewer, I absolutely love my Ultimate TS-90B speaker stands and have never had any vibration issues like with the second review. I currently own two pairs of the 90B stands and one of the air-powered 100B model and love all three. These Telelock models work great with smaller, lighter speakers and I have no trouble using them with my QSC K-12 speakers. I have used them with my heavier 15" tops and find them to be a bit of a challenge, but at the price point and with the quality of the stands and Ultimate, you really can't go wrong. I've recommended Ultimate stands to anyone and everyone I know in the market for speaker stands. I did notice that I may have gotten some sand in one pair from doing a beach wedding which has caused some friction in raising and lowering the stands but that absolutely is not the fault of the design or functionality of the stand itself. Highly recommend.
Nothing to say other than I LOVE these stands. The ease of them going up and down with the locking mechanism is a win win for anyone. Ultimate makes solid stands and Ive used almost all of them but these are my favorite.
