They may be a bit on the heavy side but they are 100% worth every ounce of effort to carry with you. I have been using a pair for mobil DJ full time ( I play 4 days a week 2 karaoke 2 DJ) paired with RCF 12" subs. I have done 3 pool parties with 200 people and had several people come to ask me what the hell are these speakers, they're awesome! They are so crispy clean at extreme high SPL's and even without the subs they carry headroom very well and almost as much bass as QSC k12's, very tight accurate bass, very good feedback suppression as well. I have been a DJ for 20 years and have owned many brands of speakers, These are by far the best speaker I have ever owned! I am selling off all my QSC speakers and will be using Yamaha DZR's exclusively from now on. You may wonder why not buy the DZR12's? My reason is that the 12's don't have a carry handle on the top which means you can't easily carry two and walk through doors, I have a pair of Yamaha dxr12"s and that is my biggest complaint about them, they are great speakers and are also better than QSC but I will be selling them also. I also have a pair of DZR315's for bigger outdoor events that I pair with DAS audio Double 18 inch subs They are also KILLER! Go with the DZR's and never look back!
