Great mixer for using for live sound and DJing, using the microphone pre-amps in this mixer are MUCH better than in my controller. I love the sliders, much better control of the line levels. Having the gain, PFL, and On/Off are major selling points. I have tried a couple of other mixers, but this is the one that I am most happy with!! Great all around mixer for live sound and/or DJing!
Just had my first gig with MGXU and loved it. This small board really packs a punch when it comes to features but remains pretty user friendly. The amounts of buttons or steps it takes to get something to play through the main mix is somewhat daunting but after glancing over the user manual it quickly makes sense. I thought The slides felt nice and the knobs have a good stiff rotation as well. This is the perfect board for the mobile DJ, and small time band.
Mine just arrived today and it seems great! It's metal and heavier than I expected, which is great. It feels very study and well built. The knobs are a big step up from the MG10 and feel fantastic...very sturdy and smooth. Insanely easy to use. I'm moving from a tablet controlled digital mixer to this. I loved how simple it is and no connectivity concerns. I love the built in power supply. My first event with it is tomorrow and I'm really looking forward to it. KPODJ shipping is UNBELIEVABLY fast!
